Formula One Bets

How To Place Drivers Championship Bet:

The Drivers Championship bet allows you to pick a driver who you feel will win the 2011 Formula One Season outright.
This market will be paid out when it is mathematically impossible for the driver in 2nd position to be able to gain enough points in the remaining races to catch the driver who is leading the championship.

Example Bet: Lewis Hamilton to win the 2011 Drivers Championship outright at 7/1. If you stake £10 then you would win £70 plus your £10 stake returned, so your total return would be £80.
This is calculated as 7 ÷ 1 = 7 x £10 stake = £70 win

How To Place A Constructors Championship Bet:

The Constructors Championship bet allows you to pick the team who you feel will win the Formula One Constructors Championship outright.
This market will be paid out on when it is mathematically impossible for the team in 2nd position to be able to gain enough points in the remaining races to catch the team the team who are leading the championship.

Example Bet: Ferrari to win the 2011 Constructors Championship outright at 11/4. If you stake £15 then you would win £41.25 plus your £15 stake returned, so your total return would be £56.25.
This is calculated as 11 ÷ 4 = 2.75 x £15 stake = £41.25.

How To Place A To Win The Race Bet

A to win the race bet allows you to bet on a driver who you feel will win an individual Formula One race.
This bet will be paid out when the podium presentations have been completed as this clarifies the winner of that individual race.
You also have the option to do an each way bet within this market, the each way terms differ between bookmakers and are either 1/5 of the odds or a ¼ of the odds on the first 3 drivers to finish the race.

Example Bet: Sebastian Vettel to win the Melbourne Grand Prix at 15/8. If you stake £20 then you would win £37.50 plus your £20 stake returned, so your total return would be £57.50.
This is calculated as 15 ÷ 8 = 1.875 x £20 stake = £37.50.

How To Place A Pole Position Bet:

A Pole Position bet allows you to bet on which driver you feel will be placed on pole position after the qualifying session for the main Grand Prix.
This bet will be paid out immediately after the qualifying session is over and the fastest qualifying time is confirmed.
You also have the option to do an each way bet for this market, the each way terms are 1/5 of the odds on the top 3 qualifiers for the main Grand Prix.

Example Bet: Mark Webber to gain pole position for the Melbourne Grand Prix at 10/3. If you Stake £7.50 then you would win £24.99 plus your £7.50 stake returned, so your total return would be £32.49.
This is calculated as 10 ÷ 3 = 3.33 x £7.50 stake = £24.99

How To Place A Points Finish Bet:

A points finish bet allows you to bet on a driver who you feel could finish the race in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th place. The first ten places all offer points of different value from 1st being 25 points to 10th being 1 point.
If the driver you pick finishes in any of those positions then your bet would be deemed a winner.

Example Bet: Fernando Alonso to finish in the points in the Melbourne Grand Prix at 2/9. If you stake £150 then you would win £33.33, plus your £150 stake returned, so your total return would be £183.33.
This is calculated as 2 ÷ 9 = 0.22 x £150 stake = £33.33

How To Place A Top 3 Finish Bet

A top 3 finish bet allows you to bet on a driver who you feel will finish the race in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.
This bet will be paid out after the podium presentations have been completed as this clarifies the 1st 2nd and 3rd places for that individual race.

Example Bet: Jenson Button to have a top 3 finish in the Melbourne Grand Prix at 5/2. If you stake £35 then you would win £87.50, plus your £35 stake returned, so your total return would be £122.50.
This is calculated as 5 ÷ 2 = 2.5 x £35 stake = £87.50

How To Place A Driver To Be Classified Bet:

A driver to be classified bet allows you to bet on an individual driver who you feel will be classified or won’t be classified.
This bet has two options, the driver to be classified or the driver not to be classified in the main Grand Prix race.
To be classified the driver would need to complete 90% or more of the laps covered by the winner of the race, So if the driver completes over 90% then he will be classified and if the driver completes less than 90% of the laps then the driver won’t be classified.
The bet will be paid out on official FIA classification notice.

Example Bet: Michael Schumacher to not be classified in the Melbourne Grand Prix at 15/4. If you stake £22 then you would win £82.50, plus your £22 stake returned, so your total return would be £104.50.
This is calculated as 15 ÷ 4 = 3.75 x £22 stake = £82.50.
